Speech Timer on iPhone X — timing, speech types, and speech history

The application should now function better with the iPhone X – including landscape mode. The full extent of the screen is used and the green light goes under the sensor housing. This mode would be useful when you like to show the time to the orator yet do not have an external display handy.

Speech Timer is our timekeeping application designed for use in Toastmasters chapter meetings. It counts upwards and have three timing markers that lights up as the speech progresses.  At the end of the session, the app would generate the timer’s report automatically that you can send out via e-mail to participants. In other words, Speech Timer combines the functions of a stopwatch, time signal flags, and notebook in a single comprehensive application.

Go Edit 1.1.1 Release Notes

This release of Go Edit improves compatibility with iOS 11 and adds support for the upcoming iPhone X. The following is a summary of changes in this release:

  • Fixes scrolling offset in full-screen editing mode when run on iOS 11.
  • Adds support for the Files app in iOS 11 – use the Files app to open supported files using Go Edit
  • Ensures compatibility with the upcoming iPhone X.
When editing a document, the navigation bar disappears to provide more room for viewing content — since the keyboard is most likely to be visible and takes almost half of the vertical screen area. In iPhone X, the content goes all the way to the top rounded corners but scrollable area is limited to just below the sensor housing. This follows the iPhone X human interface guidelines as per iOS 11.
