News Anchor 2.4.4 Release Notes
Resonate’s First Prototype
News Anchor and Lion’s Sandboxing
I’m both happy and sad in writing out this announcement. Happy for finally have completed tweaking News Anchor to adhere to Apple’s new sandboxing requirement. Sad that I had to drop a couple of features from News Anchor. Namely dropping support for the Apple Infrared Remote and the ability to refresh feeds in the background while News Anchor is not running (silent refresh).
Resonate Overhead Projection
You’re going to see Resonate’s first mockup of its overhead projection support. Yes, a Twitter client that natively supports the iPad’s VGA (and HDMI) output, and its not just simple display mirroring but geared for on-line real-time presentation of tweets. Probably going to be a first among Twitter clients.
Resonate Mockups
Resonate is our upcoming Twitter client for educators and other thought leaders. It will likely be an iPad application, at least it will start that way. Why iPad? The tablet has been getting traction in Education lately, and some schools are beginning to adopt is to replace textbooks. Moreover unlike a laptop, a tablet can be used while standing up thus works nicely when commuting or while dealing with students.
Here I post some mockups of how Resonate will look like. These mockups have evolved a bit from the wireframes I’ve posted earlier. The color scheme is Solarized Light, which I found that more pleasing to the eye than the standard black-on-white colors.
